How to update lead details?

When a lead is created by a user, there are chances that all the information pertaining to the lead is not captured. Along the lead nurturing process, the salesperson gets more information about the lead. Users can update the lead details using the Edit Leads feature. This article covers the steps to be followed for editing/updating details of a lead based on the latest received information.

Prerequisites

  1. Permissions: Any user with permission to update / update all Leads.
  2. Product Plans: All
  3. Activities to be Completed: None

Steps

Step 1 
Click on the 'Leads' tab on the homepage. This will lead to the All Leads page. Find the lead to be edited from the list,  either manually scrolling down or by using the filters. Click on the lead name to navigate to the Lead details page.



Step 2
Click on the 'Edit button on the top right corner of the Lead Details pane to open the 'Edit Lead Form'.



Step 3
Fill in the new details of the lead/ update existing details in the 'Edit Lead' form. The lead info is categorized into multiple sections (General Information, Social, Professional, Communication, Requirement). 



Step 4
After filling in the lead details in step 3, click on the Save button. Then, a success message will be presented; after which the user will be directed to the page, where the updated details of the lead will be displayed.
