How to change the name of Contacts module?
The nomenclature of leads and contacts may change from business to business. For example, an Educational firm might prefer calling their leads or contacts, students, whereas an online job portal may prefer referring to their leads/contacts by the name 'job seeker'/'employer'. This article covers the steps for customizing the Contact Entity. The scope of customization is limited to changes in the nomenclature and uniqueness rule.
Prerequisites
- Permissions: Any user with access to Control Center along with the permission to Edit Contacts Module.
- Product Plans: Explore and Elevate.
- Activities to be Completed: None
Steps
Step 1
Click on the 'Contact Module' option under the 'Customization' tab in the admin dashboard. This will lead to the 'General Information' page.
Step 2
Insert the nomenclature (eg: Prospects, students for lead) to be used in the text boxes in the form.
Step 3
Select the uniqueness strategy from the drop-down box under the header 'Uniqueness Strategy'.
Step 4
After step 3, click on the 'Save' button at the bottom of the form.
