Creating shifts for different teams or time slots is essential for organizing workflows. But manually setting up each shift from scratch can be time-consuming—especially when many shifts share similar configurations.
That’s where the Clone Shift feature in Kylas CRM comes in handy. This functionality allows users to quickly duplicate an existing shift’s settings and make only minor adjustments, saving both time and effort.
Before proceeding, make sure the following requirements are met:
Product Plan: Available on all Kylas plans
Permissions Required: The logged-in user must have:
'Create'
permission on Shifts
'Update'
permission on Shifts
Activities to Complete Beforehand: None

A cloned shift is a copy of an existing shift, which includes the same settings such as:
Shift Name (with a “Copy” suffix)
Start & End Time
Break Duration
Active Days
You can customize the cloned shift without affecting the original one.
Cloning shifts is ideal when:
You want similar shifts for different teams (e.g., Sales and Support)
You need the same timing but different assigned users
You want to test slight variations in shift schedules
It’s a time-efficient alternative to creating shifts from scratch.
Here’s how to clone a shift in Kylas CRM:
Login to your Kylas CRM account.
Go to Admin Settings by clicking on your profile icon.
Under User Management, select Shifts.
Locate the shift you want to duplicate in the list.
On the right-hand side, click on the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the shift name.
Click Clone.
A new shift form will open, pre-filled with the existing shift’s details.
Modify the Shift Name (e.g., add “Support Team” or “Copy”).
Update other fields if needed (e.g., users, timings).
Click Save.
The new cloned shift will now appear in your shift list.
