How to connect a apollo.io for lead enrichment in Kylas?

Prerequisites

Profile Permissions:

Lead -> Read, Read All, Write, Update, Update All permission
Contact -> Read, Read All, Write, Update, Update All permission
Company -> Read, Read All, Write, Update, Update All permission
Pipeline -> Read, Read All
User -> Read


1. Steps to install the application:
    1. Locate the Apollo app in the Kylas Marketplace

  1. Click on the ‘Install App’ button
  2. Click on the ‘Allow and Install’
  3. After installation Sign-up for the app
  4. Verify your email to login the app
  5. Navigate to ‘Installed App’ and click on ‘View Details’ for the Apollo app.

 
2. How to Connect Apollo Account:
    1. Login to Apollo app
    2. Navigate to the ‘Connected Account’ section and click on ‘Connect Account’ button.

  1. Enter the Apollo API key and Account Name details. [View the hyperlink on ‘How to get API key' of Apollo account

  1. Check the Active/Enable toggle and click on Save button available at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Once the account is connected click on the Map fields to map the Lead, Contact, and Company fields.

  1. Map the Apollo fields with Kylas to pass the Apollo information to the desired Kylas’s field only including any custom field as well.


How to add users in the App:
    1. Navigate to the Manage User tab
    2. Click on the ‘Fetch Users’ button

  1. This will fetch all the users available in the Kylas account
  2. Choose the different actions available for each user.
    1. Pencil button - Edit the user profile.
    2. Confirm – Confirm the user’s Marketplace account on behalf of the user. Upon confirmed the user will need to do Forget Password by installing the app to generate a login password.
    3. Invite to Login – Send an email verification link to user’s email. The user will need to verify and activate the account by putting a password.
  3. The users who have as an ‘Admin’ role on the app, will be able to view all menu items in the application such as Enrichment logs, Connected Accounts, Manage Users, API Keys
  4. However, the users who have been added as ‘Member’, will be able to view the Enrichment logs’ and can also enrich a record if the checkbox of Allow to Enrich is checked on the respective user and they will be able to view logs of the enrichment made by them only.



How to Use Apollo Enrichment app:


Enrich Existing Records
    1. Once installing the app and all other configurations.
    2. Click on the more action button from the Lead/Contact detail page to locate the ‘Enrich with Apollo’ button

  1. This will open a popup with prefilled details to be used to search the record by checking the Checkbox corresponding to each field

  1. You can edit the information based on your need to search the record.
  2. Click on the Search in Apollo button to view the results

  1. Select the checkbox against the desired record and click on ‘Enrich’ button to add/replace the information. Select the company checkbox to add the associated company record in Kylas system. Enrichment will charge you credits based on what all information is returned from Apollo. Learn more here
  2. View the enrichment details on the respective record’s details page as well.




Prospect with Apollo
    1. Go to Kylas CRM home screen after installing the app and add all other configurations
    2. Locate the Prospect with Apollo action inside the Marketplace action menu either on Menu bar or on top as shown in the below screen.



  1. Upon clicking, it opens a screen for you to input your Prospect/Lead/Contact/Account/Company search criteria details (e.g., search based on Job title, Company, Location, Industry)

  1. After adding the search details, click on the Search in Apollo to view the results for entered information.
  2. Choose a minimum of one or multiple records from the results and select the entity type checkbox that you wish to create in Kylas and click on Enrich & Add button


  1. This will submit a job for the record creation in Kylas.
  2. View your bulk job status by clicking on hyperlink available on Prospecting screen.
