How to make outbound call from Kylas web application via your mobile phone?

This article covers the steps to take in order to make outbound call through your mobile phone by clicking a button on the web application. 

Prerequisites: 

Product plan: All plans 
Permission: Read permission on Lead and Contacts 
Steps to be completed: Keep the Kylas sales CRM mobile app installed. 

Steps: 

  1. Install the Kylas sales CRM mobile application on your phone if not installed already. Android | IOS
  2. Login with your Kylas account on web and mobile app
  3. Navigate to any Lead or Contact listing or Details page wherever you see the phone number 
  4. Click on the below icon 

  5. A call to the Lead's or Contact's number will be placed from your mobile phone

Additional settings for Android devices: On the Android OS devices, you need to do below additional settings to initiate a call specially when the app is in background or killed
  1. Enable 'show on top': Enable the 'Show on top' or 'Display over other apps' permission for the Kylas sales CRM app
  2. Above will work on most of the Android devices of Samsung, Oneplus, and Motorola devices
  3. On Xiaomi devices there is another setting which needs to be enabled, please follow below steps to enable the same 
    1. Open App info section of Kylas sales CRM app
    2. Click on Other permissions 

    3. Enable the 'Display pop up window while running in background' permission
  4. After enabling the above permissions you will start receiving the call pop up even when the app is killed or running in background.
