How to send emails to leads/contacts from Kylas CRM?
This article covers the steps to be followed and the pre-requisites for sending emails using Gmail from Kylas CRM.
Prerequisites
- Permissions: Any user with special access (email) to Leads/Contacts/Deals.
- Product Plans: Embark/Elavate
- Activities to be Completed: Connect Gmail Account with Kylas CRM.
Step 1
Login to Kylas and Navigate to any Lead/Contact details page. Click on the email icon on the Lead/Contact/Deal details page.
The email icon will be visible only if the user has special access (email) to the selected Lead/Contact.
Step 2
After step 1, the email composer will be opened with the name of lead/contact/contacts associated with the deal auto-populated in the To section.
The email composer will not be opened and a warning message will be displayed, in the following cases:
- The Gmail account is not connected with Kylas CRM.
- There is no Special Access of email on Lead/Contact/Deal
- There is no contact associated with the selected Deal, for which the user has Read access.
Step 3
Draft the message to be sent to the recipient. Add/remove recipients in To, Cc, or Bcc sections; if necessary.
Step 4
The send button will become active when there is at least 1 recipient for the message. Click on the Send button, to initiate the email sending process.

Step 5
Once the email is sent, a toaster message will be displayed and the sent mail can be viewed on the Email section on the productivity sidebar.
