How to setup a lead scoring on Email related events?

This Article covers how to setup a lead scoring on email related events and lead scoring on email-related events is important because it helps prioritize and qualify leads based on their engagement levels and helps sales teams focus on high-value leads based on email interactions.

Prerequisites

  1. Permissions:  Create\Update - Scoring Rule
  2. Read - Lead 
  3. Email permission on Lead  
  4. Product Plans: Elevate.

Steps to setup Lead Scoring Rule:

Step 1. Login into Kylas >> Navigate into Setting >> Navigate into Automation >> Scoring Rule.





Step 2. Click on Scoring rule tab into side menu bar, then the scoring rule create page will open and Create Rule CTA will
be visible.


Step 3. When clicked on the "Create Rule" CTA to create lead scoring rule will pop up and, in this popup, you will be seeing 2 fields.

  1. Rule Name - Represents the name of the Rule to be created.
  2. Score Field - By default system field will be auto selected. 
  3. Scoring Type -Positive /Negative (Radio button). (According to the requirement you can set the score) and you will see "Start Creating" CTA.
Note: - 
  1. Positive Rule - Identifies high-value leads, Increases lead score
  2. Negative Rule - Filters out poor-quality leads, Decreases lead score 


Step 4. After creating rule, the rule form will open and, in this page, you will see the below action items as show in visuals.

4.1 Email event based on lead Scoring rule.

  1. Event selection from dropdown - You can select the event for which you want to set the scoring rule. 
    Note: - If you are selecting the lead event then you will be able to set multiple condition to setup the scoring rule criteria on lead properties.
  2. Once you select the email event from dropdown then you will see one more dropdown and you will select email related event from dropdown.
Note: Below is the list of all action\event

  1.      When an email opened 
  2.      When an email is clicked

Step 5. You will be able to add Multiple criteria click on "+Add New Criteria" action below and you will be able to add another event and action.

Step 6. After adding multiple criteria if you want to delete any of the criteria then click on the delete button on those criteria then that criteria will be deleted.

Note: If there is only one criteria then you will not be able to delete that.

Step 7. You will be able to enter the value which will reflect in the field selected in popup while creating the scoring rule when this scoring rule will trigger.

Note: Scoring value max limit 0 to 100


Step 8. You will be able to see the "Save & Activate" and "Save" CTA. Once you click on "Save & Activate" CTA, then that scoring rule will be saved and activated, and you will receive a toast message with the text:
"Scoring Rule created successfully."

Step 9. If you will click on "Save" CTA. In this case scoring rule saved and a toast message will appear with the text:
"Scoring Rule saved successfully."

Note: Scoring rule will be saved only but not activated.

Step 10. After creating and saving the scoring rule, the scoring rule will be visible on the lead scoring listing page.
