How to start using the field sales management for marking attendance and check in?

This article covers the steps to take to use field sales management to mark attendance and check in check out via field sales

Prerequisites: 

Permissions: User should have 'Read' permission on field sales and the user should have been added as field sales executive as mentioned in How to add Kylas users as field sales executives
Product plan: Elevate + field sales addon

Steps: 

1. Download the 'Kylas sales CRM'  mobile application

2. After installing the app, Login to the mobile application and expand the burger menu



3. Tap  on the Field Sales - You will see some actions on the screen, let's have a look one by one 

3.1 Mark Available: 
  1. Tap on the 'Available' button. 
  2. Provide the location permission to the app when prompted and turn ON the GPS of your phone. 
  3. It will make yourself as Available for the day and the app will start tracking your location 



3.2 Mark Unavailable: 
  1. When you are Available, you will see 'Unavailable' button on the screen
  2. Tap on the 'Unavailable' button 
  3. You will be marked Unavailable and the app will stop tracking your location



3.3 Check in: You can check in at a specific location where you are going to visit or meeting a prospect
  1. Click on the 'Check-in' button 

  1. Enter a reason for check in
  2. Tap 'Save and check-in'.
  3. It will check you in and create a placeholder meeting to associate the check in that you can relate with any Lead, Contact, Company or Deal later.

3.4 Check in with existing meeting or create a new meeting:
  1. Tap on the the dropdown shown alongside the 'Check-in' 

  1. Tap 'Check-in with Meeting' 
  2. You can either choose from one of the existing meetings where you are invited or you can create a new meeting.



3.5 Check out: You can checkout from all Meetings that you are checked in via field sales 
  1. When you are Checked-in, you will see the 'Checkout' button.
  2. Tap on the 'Checkout' button 


  3. Choose the Meeting(s) that you would like to checkout from 


  4. Tap on the 'Checkout' button
  5. You will be Checked out from the meetings

3.6 View Timeline: You can view your travel history for any date range along with the number of check ins to the meetings and the total travel duration and distance 
  1. On the field sales page in Kylas mobile app, Tap on the date field to select the date range 


  2. Choose a date or a date range for which you would like to see the timeline 
  3. You will see the complete timeline with check in details
