How to add a units on your products?

Units in Kylas CRM represent the measurement or quantity of a product (e.g., Kg, Years ,Days ,Months). Assigning appropriate units helps your team maintain clarity in quotations, invoices, inventory, and overall product tracking. 

Prerequisites 

  • You are logged into your Kylas CRM account as an Admin or a user with Product module access.

  • The product you want to edit or add already exists in the Product Catalog.

  • The product you want to edit should be active.

  • Create and Edit layout should have an input field or units enabled.

What Are Product Units?

Product units define the type of quantity associated with a product. For instance, a beverage could be sold in "Litres," while electronics may be sold as "Pieces." Units give structure to how products are quoted and tracked within the CRM..

Supported Unit Types

Kylas CRM supports:
  • Standard Units: Pieces, Kilograms, Litres, Meters, Packs

  • Custom Units: You can create your own (e.g., Bottles, Tablets)

Step-by-Step: Requirement Checks before Adding Units.

Step 1: Go to CRM Settings. Click on "CRM Settings."

Step 2: Access Product Settings. Click on Customization > Form Fields > Products and Services.

Step 3: Add a Field for Units

  • Search for units

  • Add the units you want to add according to your product type

Step 4: Enable the Product Field in the Deal create form

  • Go to customization. Click on layouts.

  • Check for the create layout in the Deal Section

  • Click on the layout you are currently using with Status: "active" and Default status: "Yes".

  • Open the layout and check for Products or Services

Notes
Note: Layouts with Internal name: "clCreateClients" are a custom layout (created by the user), and Internal name "createLead" are system layouts (built into the system)

Step 5: Assign units to Product

  • Go to a Product or Service

  • Open the product you want to assign a particular unit type based on the product.

(The unit selected for the product that will be reflected while creating the deal)

Steps to Add Units to Products

Step 1: Create a Deal

  1. Click on the + Add button from the top-right on the Deal module or use the Quick Add button and Click on Add Deal.
  2. In the Products and Services section, click on Add New to add a product.
  3. Select the product.
  4. Fill in other necessary details and Save the Deal
